Shock Forest Group (2019) is an international research team consisting of architects, cartographers, linguists, coders, urban planners, sound makers, biologists, designers and engineers. It is an experiment in open research, where the research categories surface as the research develops. It is also an experiment in alternative education, a classroom without a teacher, where learning emerges as a product of polyphony.

Chapter 2WO gives us insight in the world of artist and composer Nicolás Jaar. His fourteen-week stay in Zaandam creates a world in which light and sound are in ongoing contact with each other. On Saturday December 21, Chapter 2WO culminates in an 11 hour long closing party. More than ten (live) acts will fill the exhibition spaces in the large building of Het HEM.
Music, sound, light and experiment will be central.
Some of the more vulnerable installations in the Chapter 2WO exhibition will be removed before the Closing Party.
The sound and light installation Incomprehensible Sun is not accessible during the Closing Party.
