Our event spaces are available for rent until October 2024.
Art is our first language. Even while we are closed for renovations, our programming continues. You will find our art programmes at off-site locations throughout the year and on the digital platform The Couch. The permanent installations in Het HEM will remain open to the public after the renovation.
Our music programme focuses on experimental ways of making, presenting and experiencing sound in the building through listening sessions, live performances and musical artist-in-residence programmes. We are closed at the moment. When we are open again you are welcome for a drink and a bite, wine and dine at our restaurant. With good wether we suggest you settle down on our sunny terrace on the Costa del Zaano.

This privacy statement applies to visitors of Het HEM with an online ticket, friends of Het HEM, donors, sponsors, funding bodies, government bodies and other relations of Foundation Het HEM in Zaandam. This privacy statement states why, which and how we process and protect your personal data. We believe it is important that your data is treated with care and that the personal information you provide is treated with confidentiality.

For the purchase of an online ticket via Het HEM’s website, we process data such as your name, address, city, telephone number, email address and financial data to make it possible to purchase a ticket. We use the services of third parties to process your data for the purchase of online tickets, in accordance with this privacy statement. This system is owned by a third party. Third parties hereby act as the processor for Het HEM. We ensure that these parties offer sufficient guarantees with regard to technical and organisational security measures. Third parties who act as processors for Het HEM have entered into a Processor Agreement with Het HEM, which includes that they will only process personal data on behalf of Het HEM.
When applying for a friend’s membership of Het HEM, your personal information is processed in our CRM system. This concerns data such as name, address, city, telephone number, email address and financial data to activate a membership.
We may use processed personal data to invite you by telephone, by post and / or by email to our exclusive receptions for relations.
We may use processed personal data to keep you informed by telephone, by post and / or by email about developments at Het HEM. This mainly applies to our newsletter that we distribute by email. Het HEM’s newsletter is sent via MailChimp. The moment you subscribe to our newsletter, your name and email address will be stored on the appropriate list in the CRM system. MailChimp then loads this data from the CRM in order to send the newsletter.
In the case of particular contact information being shared with us, or if this has been made public, and such information contributes to effective fundraising strategies or managing our relations, we will enter this particular contact information into our records.
We keep the information you provide regarding your job application for a period of four weeks after the result of the application has been announced. We may make a request to keep your data for longer. In that case we save your data for one year.
Your (financial) data is stored in secure systems. If we are required to share this data, we ensure that the parties involved have signed a Processor Agreement in accordance with legislation and regulations. Your personal data will only be stored by Het HEM or third parties commissioned by Het HEM or processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA) if this is in accordance with the applicable regulations for the transfer of personal data to countries outside the EEA. The retention period of your personal data depends on our relationship. We keep your personal data for at least seven years. We will automatically extend this period by the same period without further notice.
