Shock Forest Group (2019) is an international research team consisting of architects, cartographers, linguists, coders, urban planners, sound makers, biologists, designers and engineers. It is an experiment in open research, where the research categories surface as the research develops. It is also an experiment in alternative education, a classroom without a teacher, where learning emerges as a product of polyphony.

Incomprehensible Sun (2019) is a sound and light installation by Nicolás Jaar for the former 200-meter-long underground shooting range in Het HEM. Visitors enter the installation in the middle of the tunnel, from which point the speed and direction of their walk determine the course, the rhythm and the duration of the piece.
Incomprehensible Sun can be experienced from September 19 to December 20 during regular opening times with a valid admission ticket and reserved time slot. A maximum of four people can enter the space at one time. Please reserve a time slot at the counter or online.
Visitors with a time slot for Incomprehensible Sun pick up their entrance sticker at the counter of Het HEM. They will be divided based on entry and follow the instructions of the mediators.
