Shock Forest Group

Shock Forest Group (2019) is an international research team consisting of architects, cartographers, linguists, coders, urban planners, sound makers, biologists, designers and engineers. It is an experiment in open research, where the research categories surface as the research develops. It is also an experiment in alternative education, a classroom without a teacher, where learning emerges as a product of polyphony.

Lazy Sundays are over: From now on it's Do-Something-Sundays at Het HEM every second Sunday of the month. Join us for a full day of events all over the building.

Programme Do-Something-Sundays / November 10

Space Echo 03 / Space Echo is a series of live shows that take place in several spaces of the huge building of het HEM. The series is curated by Dynamic Range Music Bar and this third edition features MEI HONEYCOMB.

Swap Talk/ Every Chapter Het HEM organizes a Swap Talk where visitors are invited for a conversation with one of our ‘human books’; people with a wish to share their personal story in a one-to-one conversation. Check out the Nov 10 programme here.

Exploration: Poetry reading w/ Annelie David / Annelie David recites from her latest work ’s c h o k b o s; poems she wrote when she discovered the mysterious shockforest in her then wild and natural state. Reserve a ticket here.

Restaurant Europa / Restaurant Europa is open on Sunday and serves an 8-course lunch! Reserve a spot between 15:00 and 17:00 for the eight course lunch menu via reservations@europa.rest.
