When is the last time you listened to an album all the way through? And putting it in the background while on the computer at work or doing chores around the house does not count.
The Classic Album Sundays experience eliminates the multi-tasking, allowing you to commit to the album, absorbing all of the artist’s brilliant intricacies. The world-class audio equipment setup envelops you into a world where only the music and you exist. It seems like a simple concept, yet it is truly wonderful and experience you won’t soon forget.
DJ duo Kamma & Masalo have long been avid supporters of the Classic Album Sunday concept, the immersive album listening experience. So we are very happy that, for our second instalment of the new series hosted by Het HEM, the duo has agreed to be our guests for the day.
Their album of choice, ‘Nuyorican Soul’, produced in 1997 by New York house legends Little Louie Vega and Kenny 'Dope' Gonzales which featured a wide range of guests such as Roy Ayers, Jocelyn Brown, George Benson and others, will be enjoyed on our high end Klipschorn speakers, whilst host Jasmin Hoek’s Q&A with Kamma & Masalo will provide you with an insight into their own musical preferences and history with Nuyorican Soul and the mid-nineties New York house scene.
