Chapter 2WO Public Programme
Shock Forest Group (2019) is an international research team consisting of architects, cartographers, linguists, coders, urban planners, sound makers, biologists, designers and engineers. It is an experiment in open research, where the research categories surface as the research develops. It is also an experiment in alternative education, a classroom without a teacher, where learning emerges as a product of polyphony.

On November 2 movement and sound will come together at Het HEM during a live performance of ¡miércoles!.
During his ten-week Chapter, Nicolás Jaar invites several national and international artists to join him at Het HEM for a live performance in the exhibition space. On November 2 we welcome dancer & choreographer Stéphanie Janaina.
Together Stéphanie Janaina & Nicolás Jaar form the improvisational group ¡miércoles!.
¡miércoles! means ‘¡wednesday!’ in English but in Chile it also means ‘¡shit!. All the movements and sounds that happen during a ¡miércoles! Performance are improvised. Everything is created in the space, nothing is played back or prepared. The improvisational pieces performed by ¡miércoles! are about three hours long. During the performance the public can move around freely.
Tickets: €15,- (excluding entrance to the Chapter exhibition). Would you like to visit the exhibition in addition to the lecture? Buy an entry ticket for the Chapter and reserve a time slot for Incomprehensible Sun online or at the counter.
