After the munition manufacturer Eurometaal closed down in 2003, the Hembrug site became an abandoned area. Nature took over and the site’s buildings decayed.
Photographer Gé Dubbelman was the first to discover this site and get access from the security guards. Throughout the years, he has captured the transition from abandoned munition site to rediscovered areafor culture and commere with his camera.
On October 26 you are invited to explore the Hembrug site through the photos and stories of Gé Dubbelman. During the exploration, Dubbelman will take you along all the buildings and places of the Hembrugterrein and share everything he has learned about the unique history of this site.

The Chapter 2WO explorations are focused on active knowledge and take the form of a participatory walk, an associative narrative or a practical workshop.
This exploration starts at 2pm in the mezzanine Participation is free of charge, but places are limited. Book a free ticket online.
